Wardrobe in a Week
Ruthie K. challenged Stitchers' Guild members to create a Wardrobe in A Week: 4 garments in 7 days. We had a week to cut out and prepare fabrics, and a week to sew. I finished most of my sewing over the long holiday weekend. I made a shirt jacket and matching gore skirt from olive rayon gabardine, a pleated skirt from a batik-design cotton, and two t-shirts.

June Capsule Contest
For this year's June Capsule Contest, Elizabeth, the contest sponsor, requires participants to build a 4-piece wardrobe around an existing orphan in the closet.
The skirt from this suit is my orphan. It is a bias 4-ply silk skirt. I made this to wear to a wedding several years ago, and although I have worn the jacket, I never wore the skirt again. I plan to cut it off at just below knee length for this capsule.
